Protecting Confidential Information in the Child Support World: What to Know Before You Give Out That Info: Everyone has heard horror stories about identity theft, breaches in data security, and just plain old mistaken identity. The Federal Trade Commission estimates that 10 millions Americans have their identities stolen each year. The work that we do in child support requires us to have access to a wide range of personal data from our clients. With this access comes the responsibility of keeping our customers’ personal information confidential. So how do we know that we are speaking to the right person or only allowing access to the people who need to know? Learn how various organizations in the childsupport community protect individuals' identifying information by making make sure they are enforcing against the right obligor and only providing information to the right people.

Before the Storm: Helping Parents Understand How Conflict Affects Children: Early Intervention, in its various forms, has proven to be an effective tool in promoting positive relationships with our child support clients, which in turn has shown to increase the likelihood and consistency of payments.    However, the relationship between parents can also play a role in our ability to work a case successfully.   
It is no surprise that conflict between parents has a significant impact on children-- But what role does child support have in promoting positive co-parenting? This webinar will highlight early intervention and education efforts that promote responsible parenting and minimize the conflict that happens in the presence of children. Participants will learn about early intervention efforts being implemented through child support programs and practical ideas for replication that may improve parental relationships and ultimately program performance.

Streamlining the Review & Adjustment Process in an Economic Downturn: Sharing Effective Strategies: Child Support programs across the nation are experiencing a record number of review and adjustment requests due to the current economic downturn. Child Support Enforcement Agencies need to respond to the needs of our customers by creating a more flexible and responsive review and adjustment process.   The elimination of duplicate steps, reassessment of forms and working with the court systems to streamline processes are steps in the right direction.
