Innovations Fair

NCSEA Innovations Fair

NCSEA is pleased to introduce a new feature at the 2015 Leadership Symposium, the NCSEA Innovations Fair.

The Fair is a visually explanatory exhibit that presents groundbreaking best practices, cutting-edge collaborations, and innovative program approaches in child support agencies and organizations.  Located in the Exhibit Hall, the Innovations Fair is an interactive, dynamic forum for child support organizations to share successful program strategies and to receive feedback. Attendees will circulate among the displays and learn from participants.  Discussions range from implementation issues to “selling” the idea to stakeholders so the attendees may tailor a similar program in their jurisdiction.

A limited number of six foot tables will be available to child support agencies, on a first come/first served basis, with consideration for diversity of presentations and featured programs.

What can be showcased?

  • Innovative programs, community collaborations, new approaches to old problems
  • Best practices to achieve positive results
  • A successful partnership between the public and private sector
  • A report of a research study

Innovations Fair participants will be expected to staff their table during Exhibit Hall hours (during all breakfasts, breaks and receptions Sunday through Tuesday).  Examples of display options include –

  • A visual display such as a tri-fold poster
  • Brochures, forms and other handouts
  • Video (battery powered laptops only)

No AV equipment or electrical access will be available; however, participants may use battery-operated equipment, such as laptops.  Detailed guidelines will be sent for accepted presentations.

Those staffing the Innovations Fair displays must be registered for the Leadership Symposium.

The Fair is not for product advertisements, vendor displays, etc.  The table-tops are available for child support agencies only.  A successful collaboration with a private sector partner is allowed, but must be from the agency perspective.

Fair set up will be Sunday, August 10 at 3 pm, and displays must be taken down at 4 pm Tuesday, August 11, 2015.  All participants must commit to participate the full time.

To submit an application for the Innovations Fair, complete the application and email to Ann Marie Ruskin at NCSEA by June 15, 2015.  Selected organizations will be notified by July 1, 2015 to allow time to prepare their display.
