2019 NCSEA Leadership Symposium Scholarships

Applications accepted April 15-May 17, 2019

NCSEA is pleased to again offer two scholarships to the NCSEA 2019 Leadership Symposium, to be held Sunday, August 11 – Wednesday, August 14, 2019 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 
The application deadline for both scholarships is Friday, May 17, 2019. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

New Leader Scholarship

The New Leader Scholarship shall be awarded to anyone within the child support community who has been a manager for two years or less and demonstrates outstanding potential to improve his or her team’s performance.
The scholarship includes:

  • Leadership Symposium registration
  • Three nights hotel lodging (August 11, 12 and 13)
  • Travel expenses (not to exceed $500.
  • One year Individual membership

Applicants must submit a statement (500 words) on how the applicant would utilize information and networking gained in the course of
attending the Leadership Symposium, including how he/she would then share that information upon return to the agency. In addition to the statement, the applicant’s supervisor is required to submit a letter of recommendation as well as a statement that, if chosen, the applicant will be able to travel out-of-state to the NCSEA 2019 Leadership Symposium August 11-14, 2019 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Judge Ross Leadership Scholarship

The Judge Ross Scholarship shall be awarded to anyone within the child support community from the host state of Minnesota, who has been a manager for two years or less and is demonstrating outstanding potential to improve his or her team’s performance. The scholarship includes:

  • Leadership Symposium registration
  • Three nights hotel lodging (August 11, 12 and 13)
  • One year NCSEA Individual membership

Applicants must submit a statement (500 words) on how the applicant would utilize information and networking gained in the course of
attending the Leadership Symposium, including how he/she would then share that information upon return to the agency. In addition to the statement, the applicant’s supervisor is required to submit a letter of recommendation as well as a statement that, if chosen, the applicant will be able to travel to the NCSEA 2019 Leadership Symposium August 11-14, 2019 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
