Job Title: Director of Child Support Services

Job Description: This positions leads Sacramento County’s Department of Child Support Services, which has a commission to carry out the responsibilities of the federal child support program as identified in Title IV-D of the Social Security Act. The position will oversee the establishment and enforcement of activities in accordance with the federal, state, and county statutory and regulatory requirements, which includes Part 300 of 45 Code of Federal Regulations and Chapter 17 of the California Family Code.
The County is searching for a visionary leader with proven experience leading and managing a complex child support or social services organization. This leader will have demonstrated ability to lead collaborative efforts that support the building of strong families. Demonstration of strong fiscal leadership, political acumen, and ability to build collaborative relationships is essential. The leader should have the ability to build teams and engage in the creation of strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
This leader should be genuinely committed to serving and building up the department’s diverse and dynamic employees and have a strong desire to serve the community; positively impacting the lives of those in the department and the children and families served by the department.
