In a child support program based in federal regulations and state statutes, what techniques do the most successful practitioners use to establish an order that is efficient, consistent, and representative of the facts of the particular case?
The California Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) undertook an extensive workgroup to review pleading practices across California and existing law as it relates to initial pleading practices. This web-talk will detail the recommendations of the workgroup, and show how DCSS is working to establish more appropriate, uniform orders, clarify existing law through policy and training, and exploring updates to statutory law to improve outcomes for families.
