NCSEA 2023 Leadership Symposium Scholarships

NCSEA is pleased to again offer scholarships to the NCSEA 2023 Leadership Symposium, August 6-9, 2023 in Anaheim, California. Three scholarships are available to qualified applicants: the New Leader Scholarship, the Judge Ross Scholarship, and the Howard G. Baldwin Memorial Scholarship. All scholarships are described below, and include an application to download and review. The application deadline for all scholarships is Friday, May 5, 2023.

 

New Leader Scholarship

The New Leader Scholarship shall be awarded to anyone within the child support community who has been a manager for two years or less and demonstrates outstanding potential to improve his or her team’s performance. The scholarship includes:

  • Leadership Symposium registration
  • Three nights hotel lodging (August 6, 7 & 8, 2023)
  • Travel expenses (not to exceed $500).
  • One year NCSEA Individual membership

Applicants must submit a statement (500 words) on how the applicant would utilize information and networking gained in the course of attending the Leadership Symposium, including how he/she would then share that information upon return to the agency. In addition to the statement, the applicant’s supervisor is required to submit a letter of recommendation as well as a statement that, if chosen, the applicant will be able to travel out-of-state to the NCSEA 2023 Leadership Symposium August 6-9, 2023 in Anaheim, California.

Howard G. Baldwin Memorial Scholarship

The Howard G. Baldwin Memorial Scholarship shall be awarded to an individual within the child support community who, through exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, has made a significant impact on the child support program. The scholarship includes:

  • Leadership Symposium registration
  • Three nights hotel lodging (August 6, 7 & 8, 2023)
  • Travel expenses (not to exceed $500).
  • One year NCSEA Individual membership

Judge Ross Leadership Scholarship

The Judge Ross Scholarship shall be awarded to anyone within the child support community from the host state of California who has been a manager for two years or less and is demonstrating outstanding potential to improve his or her team’s performance. The scholarship includes:

  • Leadership Symposium registration
  • Three nights hotel lodging (August 6, 7 & 8, 2023)
  • One year NCSEA Individual membership

Applicants must submit a statement (500 words) on how the applicant would utilize information and networking gained in the course of attending the Leadership Symposium, including how he/she would then share that information upon return to the agency.
