Jonell Sullivan
Operations Administrator
Arizona Division of Child Support Services
I have been with the Arizona Department of Economic Security Division of Child Support Services for 17 years and have held various positions during my tenure.
In 2016, Arizona received a Procedural-Justice Alternatives to Contempt (PJAC) grant, and I managed this grant, including developing the service delivery plan for enhanced child support services.
In addition to working on updating policy and procedures for reviewing cases for Judicial Contempt because of the Final Rule, I took leadership and management of updating our policy and standard operating procedures for reviewing cases when family violence is an issue. I have worked with our Office of Professional Development to develop training for the child support professional to recognize, respond, and refer cases that may be impacted by family violence. Screening parents for safety concerns to include using procedural justice principles during the screening, specifically, voice, neutrality, respect, helpfulness and understanding to ensure all participants in a child support case receive our services as safely as possible.
Prior to coming to Arizona, I worked in Indiana with the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office for many years as a generalist case manager. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force and obtained a degree in Metals Technology during my service. I have been happily married to Scott Sullivan for 40 years and have two adult sons and three grandchildren. I love the work I do each day and love learning and growing.
