NCSEA Idea Exchange: Revisiting Paternity Disestablishment Issues in the Child Support Program

NCSEA Idea Exchange: Revisiting Paternity Disestablishment Issues in the Child Support Program

Wednesday, November 10th
2 PM ET / 1 PM CT / 12 PM MT / 11 AM PT

Many Title IV-D programs continue to struggle with policies and procedures when genetic testing reveals a disconnect with legally established paternity. Come join us as we explore the issues related to paternity disestablishment including the role of the IV-D program in defending paternity presumptions, acknowledgments, and adjudications. We’ll also discuss family-centric approaches, agreements by parents, court ordered genetic testing, and disestablishment in foster care cases. Finally, we’ll explore whether there are best practices out there for handling these challenging cases.

Facilitated by Diane Potts.

This session is limited to 50 participants. Available to NCSEA members and those receiving member benefits only. No fee.
